There are some pretty smart guys out there who has the same problem with their Nikon DSLRs i.e. back (or front) focusing.
I've found couple of really interesting links in which I could get more understanding of this problem and some is already suggesting a way to fix it. I just list the links below and I hope those guys don't mind if I use their URL and suggest their great sites

My Nikon D7000 focus problems
I have some focusing issues with my new Nikon D7000 and I'm presenting them below.
I have used three lenses so far and I have the same problem with each of them. I just simply can not take sharp photos using the Viewfinder. The pictures taken using the Live View Mode are tack sharp.

Lenses I used are
- Nikon 18-105
- Sigma 55-200
- Nikon 50mm f1.8
All of the shots below are made by the Nikon 18-105 except the 3rd one which is the Sigma 55-200.
Playing with the lights and exposure
I just found an interesting book about photography, it's called 'Trick Photography and Special Effects'.
I haven't read the whole book yet, but one of my picture really grabbed my attention on page 81. I read how they made it and I could successfully reproduce the image. But using the same and similar ideas in the book I used my own creativity and created the below photographs.
I hope you'll enjoy it. I really can suggest that book to read...or buy from the internet ;-)
I used 'Bulb' mode in manual exposure mode, used the remote controller and used the smallest aperture I could
.
I used a flashlight to give the initial lights to the book in order this appear in well composed, then used the flash light again when I was turning the pages. I used black gloves to turn the pages so that's why my hand is invisible ;-)
Check my other photos made with the similar technique.
